Away with the Fairies follows the return of a repressed young man to his childhood home in rural Ireland. After struggling to settle back into his family routine, he reencounters the drag queen doll his father threw away when he was a child. This film uses stop motion animation and puppetry to visualise the impact of generational abuse and the empowerment of self expression.
